Thursday, February 14th, 2013What can be Said of New Year’s Rhymes?
Monday, December 31st, 2012What can be said in New Years rhymes?
That has not been said a thousand times?
The new years come, the old years go
we know we dream we dream we know
We rise up laughing with the light
we lie down weeping with the night
we hug the world until it stings
we curse it then and sigh for wings
we live, we love, we woo, we wed
we wreathe our prides, we sheet our dead
we laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear
and thats the burden of a year

Monday, December 10th, 2012Ornaments by Junker Jane and Lelainia Lloyd
Sunday, December 9th, 2012I love the fabric that the green monster is made with. The piece is a reminder to me to keep jealousy at bay
This ornament by Lalainia Lloyd is one of my favorites, so cleverly composed.

Links for both artists are in my side bar and they both have etsy shops. BUY HANDMADE!
Giclees of this original painting; Girl Looking Askance, are now posted to my etsy shop.

Thursday, December 6th, 2012Ornaments, and folio
Tuesday, December 4th, 2012I had meant to start posting ornaments from my collection, of all handmade, artist made ornaments but I have bee so sick the past week I did not even get started. So. I’ll post three today to make up for lost time and also one that I designed last year for sale in my etsy shop.
This is one available in my shop:

From my collection this one is made by artist “Dolly Gagging”

This one is by artist Diane Redmore Moore:

and this one is by artist Carla Naron:

I do so enjoy my unique ornaments!
Also I have been working on little collage folios, they are about 4 x 5 inches and can hold atcs or aceos or little photographs or they can be stared at and displayed ![]()
this is one of them:

Sunday, November 18th, 2012Well, its that time of year again. The time of peace and joy and love. hahahah, yeah tell that to the people in the mall parking lots! Lighten things up with a little bit of humor:
I’m listing prints and cards of this piece on etsy. I will be giving only homemade and handmade this year. Maybe gift cards. ie, staying OUT of the malls. Anyway, here in Ojai, there are no malls! love that.
On a nicer note, from last years design I am selling this print and cards on etsy: The Girl Who Swallowed a Tree
Also offering up this piece which is a Money Tree hat:
And in memory of my beloved Balthazar, the pug nosed reindeer is back:
