The body of the piece is panty hose sewn over clay, great fun and I love painting on the panty hose surface, it has great tooth like canvas although very absorbent.

I used a product by crayola made for children to build up the form on this piece, its a very foamy, spongey air dry clay, I love it!

Need to focus and finish up stuff for bOdY PaRts show, due next week.

I’m still bummed about the baby dove, the momma keeps hanging out and looking for it.

I may have gotten a wee carried away with color, but but…

I woke up at 4:30 a m this morning knowing just how I would go about making my figures for the body parts show. First I thought of hybrids and then I thought about Dr Frankenstein, sewing together parts to create a person/creature and decided, that would be my approach. I will write more about the ideas behind these pieces a little later three others are nearly done and I need to get back to them…
