Blossoming and a self portrait

Tuesday, February 5th, 2013

My dear husband has been preparing steel cut oatmeal for us in the mornings. This morning he brought me this bowl full and said “you are the almond, in a moat, surrounded by sugar and cream! Ha, I am sure he meant my belly! :D that is a smalllll pat of butter, don’t judge me…

This is my most recent finished painting:

Pink hydrangea

Monday, June 13th, 2011

I’m thrilled to see my pink hydrangeas starting to blossom, I started it two years ago from a small potted plant and it didn’t take the transplant well, until now:D

Oddly and to my great disappointment the more established hydrangea right next to it shows no sign of blooms whatsoever. :( Make no mistake about it, my periwinkle blue hydrangea is my FAVORITE of all flowers. Maybe it will be a late bloomer this year, *crosses fingers*, I did feed it and fertilized it and gave it it’s special bluifying acid.

I will have some art to post soon. Probably. Maybe. No, really.

Progress!

amaryllis

amaryllis progress !

And I did not even get out half the cards I intended, so I offer up the high res image I used for my Christmas card. She has the perfect spoiled brat pouty expression, “YOu better not pout”!! I have uploaded this image high res so if anyone wants to use it or have a copy for an ornament, just cut out her shape and punch a hole at the top after you have printed her. Hang her on your tree, she looks cute. I put red wings behind mine.

You Better Not Pout!!

I simply can not believe its the 25th, and another year is almost over! However you celebrate, whatever your religion or not, have a joyous holiday!
