Ben Hodson

I forgot to mention that I have been interviewed on Ben Hodson’s site, Reflections on the New Paradigm. There are several other interviews and some great art to look at, including work by Ben himself.

Oil on canvas

I was thinking of Rapunzel when I started this, but she just does not seem like a Rapunzel, so I gave her a pair of scissors and I’m calling it Hair Cut~~

The tones in her face remind me a bit of Dave Cooper’s work which I love. Not familiar with Dave Cooper? here is a link, though it was hard to find a gallery with several works showing:

Dave Cooper

Also found this animated cartoon with his images which is a delightfully twisted, contorted, bubbly ride. The bouncy character animation is just as I might imagine and the raunchy romp in jello at the end is fitting!

Lots to do today.

Well, its that time of year again. The time of peace and joy and love. hahahah, yeah tell that to the people in the mall parking lots! Lighten things up with a little bit of humor:

I’m listing prints and cards of this piece on etsy. I will be giving only homemade and handmade this year. Maybe gift cards. ie, staying OUT of the malls. Anyway, here in Ojai, there are no malls! love that.

On a nicer note, from last years design I am selling this print and cards on etsy: The Girl Who Swallowed a Tree

Also offering up this piece which is a Money Tree hat:

And in memory of my beloved Balthazar, the pug nosed reindeer is back:

I MISS my dog so much!!!

Halloween or Nightmare before Christmas

Thursday, November 1st, 2012

Not a single solitary soul approached our house last night, except for those already there of course!

Seriously, no Trick or Treaters in sight, boo hoo, I guess we will have to eat all the candy! 🙁

I put tea light candles into the hollow heads of my Day of the dead dolls, they were wonderfully spooky!
